Screening Cameras

Thermal imaging

Any object with a temperature above absolute zero emits a detectable amount of infra-red (IR) radiation. The higher an object’s temperature, the higher intensity of emitted IR. Taking advantage of the differences in IR intensity between objects, thermal cameras make the invisible IR “visible” in the form of heat zone images.
The IR radiation creates a number of opportunities around Health protection, Security, Thermography, and Commercial Vision.

Preventing the spread of COVID-19

As we move forwards into life after lockdown, COVID-19 will still be amongst us. All businesses have a duty of care, to protect their workforces and take measures to avoid the infection of coronavirus spreading around the work space.

We have a range of fever detection systems to suit all types of buildings and industry sectors. These have been developed to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by allowing the screening of people entering a building, preventing anyone displaying an elevated temperature from infecting others within the building. These high efficiency fever detection systems are the perfect tool to aid high level screening, reducing the requirement to manually measure every individual’s temperature.

Educational institutions provide young people with the tools to thrive in both the world of today and the future. Keeping students and staff safe in educational environments is becoming increasingly important. However, on-campus security installations still face many challenges. Systems integrators have a huge task when implementing a new system – juggling various site challenges, integrating new and existing systems together, meeting needs of students and staff, and of course the budget. Our systems provide this blend of technology and mass screening with a funding package that will suite most budgets and balance sheets.

High Efficiency

It takes only one second for a thermal camera to detect the temperature of a person, thus allows the screening of large numbers of people all at one time.

Safety Thermal cameras feature non-contact temperature measurement from about one metre away, avoiding unnecessary physical contact and therefore further preventing the spread of any virus including COVID-19.

How Fever Detection Cameras Can Help

With advanced detectors and algorithms, the Temperature Screening Thermographic Cameras are designed to detect elevated skin-surface temperatures. They can be used for rapid and preliminary temperature screening in office buildings, factories, stations, airports, universities and other public places, with accuracy up to ±0.3˚C when used with the optional blackbody calibration unit. The cameras on their own are accurate to ±0.5˚C which complies with IEC 80601-2-59:2017 minimum laboratory accuracy level.

Key features include:

  • One second to detect a skin-surface temperature of a person
  • Multi-person detection simultaneously
  • Non-contact measurement to avoid physical contact
  • Multiple ways to alarm/notify operators
  • AI detection to reduce false alarms from other heat sources
  • One-stop solution includes thermographic cameras, switches etc.

The two most common challenges in traditional perimeter protection are frequent false alarms and poor imaging quality in limited light. Since Uncooled Focal Plane Array senses thermal radiation instead of visible light, thermal cameras can “see” objects and scenery in virtually any weather and under any lighting condition. our Security Thermal Cameras utilize advanced thermal detectors that provide excellent image performance with a high efficiency. They are ideal for your perimeter protection 24/7.

Events and emergencies 24/7

Our Thermal Cameras guarantee layered situational awareness across a range of scenarios such as perimeter protection, temperature measurement, and fire detection. They “see” from extended distances under virtually any light or weather condition, distinguishing people and vehicles from other objects with Deep Learning capabilities. Augmented with visible light imaging and visualized metadata, our Thermal Cameras are the ideal choice for enhanced awareness of events and emergencies 24/7.

Hikvision thermal cameras, thermal imaging

Indoor fire prevention, electrical and mechanical inspections

The handheld Thermography Series is widely used for indoor fire prevention, electrical and mechanical inspections, etc. With handheld monocular and binocular devices as well as core thermal components, the Commercial Vision Series keeps expanding new possibilities in the commercial application of thermal technologies.

Hikvision thermal products

All our thermal products feature three innovative functions for better environmental adaptability: Auto Gain Control (AGC), Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE), and 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR). AGC adjusts the dynamic range of the image to help better retain balanced brightness of the image; DDE, based on an algorithm defining region of interest, renders more detail in the on-screen image; and 3D DNR further minimizes the influence of “hot pixels”, making images appear even sharper.

Hikvision range of thermal products

Hikvision’s thermal products have the following advantages:

  • Advanced sensor
  • Powered by GPU
  • Deep learning
  • Image fusion
